Progressives never stop talking about the importance of saving black lives but they have no specific policy proposals to save black males and strengthen black families (or Hispanic or white families for that matter). Marxists attacks on the nuclear family, feminists attacks on fatherhood, and inevitably dysfunctional socialist economic schemes hurt rather than help American blacks. Insane proposals to defund the police, far from helping are resulting in a significant increase in the number of black males killed in the war zones of democratically controlled cities. As Progressives do nothing to save Black Americans, the statistics reflecting the plight of Black America are startling and provide great cause for thought and for new policy initiatives. Here are some of the facts of which every American should be aware:
21 — Approximate number of unarmed Black Americans killed each year by police
235 — Approximate number of Black Americans, armed or unarmed, killed each year by police.
370 — Approximate number of White Americans, armed or unarmed, killed by police each year
13% — Approximate percentage of blacks in US population (males are 6%)
58% — Percentage of murders caused by Black Americans each year (mostly black male victims)
39% — Percentage of violent crimes committed by Black Americans
2,600 — Approximate Number of Blacks killed by other Blacks each year in U.S.
1000% — the greater risk a black man will be killed by another black man rather than by a police officer in U.S.
80% — Percentage of Black Americans that graduate from high school
88% — Percentage of Asian Americans that graduate from high school
67% — Percentage of Black American children that grow up in single family home
7% — Percentage of Asian American children that grow up in single family home
21% — Percentage of American Blacks that earned a 4-year college degree
58% — Percentage of Asian Americans that earned a 4-year college degree
83 — Average Black American Intelligence Quotient

0.4% — Percentage of Asian Americans in NBA (Do brain dead communists really believe that white supremacists somewhere have decreed that Black Americans will make up 75% of the rich, high profile, celebrity positions of NBA players while Asians make up 31% of US software engineers? Is that really a viable theory for why different ethic and cultural groups behave so differently?)

These are, of course, terrible statistics, and we need to think much harder about how to improve them. Because not everyone understands statistics, some cautions are in order. First, by definition, individuals from any given group are not bound by the general statistical pattern. Obviously, there are more and more brilliant, well-educated Black commentators on the news, Black teachers in classrooms, and Black business leaders. Thomas Sowell (a black economist) is one of my intellectual heroes. You cannot miss them, and it lifts my heart and gives me hope for the future of America, since my firm belief is that America’s best chance for survival is a friendly and tolerant alliance between conservative, family-oriented Americans of every race and color. That is the only way we are going to make this experiment in self-government continue to thrive.
