These days America seems to be under constant attack, particularly from extreme leftists. Similarly, among racial and ethnic groups, white people seem to be the only group that can be explicitly reviled and attacked in overtly racist terms. Although it is illegal in various contexts, such as employment, to discriminate against any racial or ethnic group, leftists – loosely tethered to reality – attack both America and white people in the most insupportable and hateful terms. Part of the defense against such insanity is learning more historically accurate information. Truth is an excellent defense against leftist hate.
To rebut these unfair attacks, let’s talk about some of the many things that make America remarkable and great. I will present the information in summary form with the notion that the reader can do his or her own follow-up research. Of course, some liberals will quibble with some facts and characterizations, but they cannot really deny the basic facts. Here are just a few things that make America the admirable and remarkable country that it is:
• The poorest 25% of Americans live better than 75% of the rest of the world, much of which is communist. America has the oldest and longest running constitutional democracy or democratic republic.
• America was one of the earliest countries to abolish slavery. Many countries still have slavery today.
• America was the first country to put a man on the moon.
• America shed the blood of its own fighting men to liberate or protect other countries, without asking to be compensated for it and without taking and keeping the liberated lands. Countries liberated and protected in armed conflict by the US include France, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, the Philippines, many Pacific Islands, Kuwait, South Korea, and China. No other country in the history of the world has protected so many peoples in countries without gaining anything tangible in return.
• Black Americans are the richest, most successful group of people of African descent in the world. The average African American has an income of approximately $45,000 a year. The average black person in Sub-Sahara Africa has an annual income of Approximately $900 a year. African Americans are wealthier, healthier, and better educated than their ancestors who stayed in Africa.
• America has invented many critical technological innovations, such as the automobile, airplane, rockets capable of space travel, satellites, mass produced semi-conductors, the personal computer, nuclear power, and the internet. It is a little absurd to speak of cultural misappropriation when someone wears a sombrero, while ignoring the fact that the entire world has appropriated American innovations, such as the automobile, airplane and personal computer. We will stop wearing sombreros and native American head dresses, if you agree to stop driving cars and flying on airplanes.
• America is the most culturally and racially diverse country in the world. America began her history as a diverse country, which included Whites, Blacks, Native Americans, Hispanics, Spaniards, and others. America is the most welcoming country on earth, consistently admitting more immigrants than any other country.
• America is the most generous country in the world, with a history of giving far more money to foreign countries, nongovernmental organizations, starving people, charities, and international organizations than any other country by far. For example, the US pays nearly one quarter of the entire United Nations Budget. We pay this vast amount of money only to be bashed by many other countries.
• America is the only country that ever had a monopoly on the atomic bomb. In 1945 America could have turned all present and future rivals to ash. It could have permanently destroyed the USSR, China, Japan, Germany, and any other powerful country. America chose not to do so. What do you think would happen if the Chinese Communist Party had an overwhelming military superiority, so it could destroy any rival with complete impunity? Would China show the same restraint and goodness America did?
While all countries can be criticized for their imperfections, I think the list of US achievements and attributes makes it more worthy of admiration and love than virtually any other country on Earth.
Although they are subject to almost constant attack, and even explicit racial discrimination, white people also have a remarkable history of achieving and giving to others. Here are some of the many achievements of white people, which are almost never taught or even mentioned in schools:
• White people invented the concept of a written constitution.
• White people invented the notion of separation of powers and limited government.
• White people invented democracy, as an explicit form of government.
• White people invented the concept of minority rights.
• Whites were the racial group to outlaw slavery, which at one time existed in some form everywhere on Earth.
• Far more white men (at least 10 times as many) than black men fought to abolish slavery in the American civil war.
• White people invented the modern novel.
• White people invented the printing press, allowing the mass production of books and directly improving literacy.
• White people invented reinforced concrete.
• White people invented extensive road networks for improved movement.
• White people invented aqueducts and massive irrigation systems.
• White people invented the telegraph and the telephone.
• White people explored the globe and mapped the world.
• White people invented the industrial assembly line.
• White people established the right for women to vote. Some Muslim countries still do not allow women to vote.
• White people invented the steam engine.
• White people invented the light bulb and the distribution of electricity.
• White people invented the internal combustion engine and thus cars and trucks.
• White people invented the diesel engine.
• White people invented the exploration for fossil fuels, which powered the industrial revolution and made it possible for millions of people to heat their homes.
• White people invented the submarine.
• White people white people invented nuclear power.
• White people invented the computer.
• White people invented the personal computer.
• White people invented the internet.
• White people invented the cell phone.
• White people invented space travel.
• White people invented satellites in space.
• White people invented rocket ships capable of taking man into outer space.
• White people invented Marxism.
• White people invented the concept of a social safety net and social welfare payments.
• White people invented vaccines.
• White people discovered antibiotics.
• White people invented calculus and quantum physics.
• White people invented genetic engineering.
The list of technological and cultural innovations created or discovered by white people could go on for many pages. That list is substantially longer than a list of achievements by any other people, races, ethnicities or cultures. It is not even close. Here are some other less technological achievements of white people:
• The strongest man in the world right now is white. Indeed, the strongest men in the world (in terms of ability to lift massive weight) are almost always white.
• The top 3 tennis players (men) in the world right now are all white.
• The people with the recorded highest IQs have generally been white (with some exceptions.)
• The top 5 quarterbacks in NFL history have been white.
• Top Olympic swimmers in history are white.
• Most of the greatest warriors and armies of history have been white.
• Top shooters and snipers in the world are all white, and so on.
• The top 10 fighter pilots in world history have all been white, despite movies like “Red Tails,” which quite consciously casts black pilots in WWII as heroic (no objection). The top black fighter in WWII had 5 kills. In contrast the white American ace had 33 kills. The top fighter ace in world history, a German named Erich Hartmann had over 350 kills.
• The top 10 tank commanders in history were all white.
Again, I could go on for pages listing white achievements in various sports including skiing, mixed martial arts, wrestling, golf, and many other areas, but there is little reason to belabor the point. Of course, the most successful entrepreneurs in recent history (Jobs, Gates, Musk, Bezos, etc.) are white. They have not only advanced technology dramatically, but have increased the wealth of the world tremendously creating hundreds of thousands good paying jobs in new industries for people of all colors and ethnicities.
These listed achievements of the US and white people only scratch the surface of what has been accomplished. No country and no group have done more to advance the story of human kind. It is unfair that either the US or white people should be subject to ugly discrimination, scorn, or hate in our public schools, where the US and white people are often vilified and attacked. I have begun to suspect that the aggressive attacks on white children, including concerted teachings on alleged racism, critical race studies, systematic efforts to understate US and white achievements, efforts at instilling sexual and gender confusion, and other perverse teachings actually constitute a deliberate effort to hurt white children, so they will not attain the remarkable achievements of their ancestors. By destroying the identities of white children, far left socialists can ultimately destroy America and the West.
