Fact for Thought ™: Solar & Wind Power Provide only 5% of US Energy

Here is a sobering Fact for Thought. ™ For all the constant talk and agitation about renewable energy, and all the corrupt payments made to special interests, who claim to be part of a new green revolution, solar and wind power, together, contribute only about 5% of the energy needs of the US. So, solar + wind = 5% of US energy needs. There is no realistic chance that the US will be powered by renewable energy sources for decades.
