Biden Wastes Governing Opportunities Attacking Republicans

Since his eerie “red haze” speech last month when, inappropriately flanked by marines and standing in Independence Hall, Biden scapegoated a nonexistent movement that he dubbed “extreme MAGA conservatists.” Biden has sharpened his attack on his political opponents, while offering no new solutions to the country’s most pressing problems. His increasingly angry attacks on US citizens who simply reject his badly-conceived policies are bewildering in at least two obvious respects.

First, as usual, Biden reflects his profound historical ignorance wildly shared by most politicians of the day, both liberal and conservative. Although Biden has never studied Fascism, Fascism actually began in Italy in the 1920s as an extension of Italian Socialism. Benito Mussolini, for example, was a member of the Italian Socialist Party for 14 years before helping to found the Italian Fascist movement. The essence of Fascism was to combine socialist or communist control of the economy with a heady dose of nationalism. This nationalistic flavor is reflected in the word Fascism itself, which derives from a battle standard or insignia of imperial Rome, often involving an eagle and crossed axes. In establishing Fascism, Mussolini was intentional stirring Italian nationalism by harkening back to the might and power of ancient Rome. Hitler did something similar by invoking the strength, power, and vigor of what he called the Aryan race – an irony because Hitler himself was not very Aryan. Indeed, to this day, there is a vigorous historical debate about whether Hitler, who was an illegitimate child, was actually partly Jewish. Some of his hate may have grown out of his own personal history.

Interestingly purer socialism began as a product of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, and other mostly Jewish European intellectuals, who were hoping for a more equal society. But even the hopeful ideals of socialism itself were ultimately twisted into forced wealth redistribution, mass imprisonment of innocent people, deliberate starvation of resistant populations, and other horrors. These tragic developments are among the reasons that demagogs like Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin were able to blame and scapegoat the Jews for widespread strikes and other socialist party activities, as well as for alleged anti-national bias reflected in an early version of internationalism. This international aspect of Marxist Socialism is reflected by Marx’s famous injunction, “workers of the world unite.”

The response of fascists such as Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, and others was to reject international socialism in favor of a more local nationalistic form of socialism. But the choking tendrils of socialism were still part of Fascist movements. Although perhaps being more willing to work with national industry, Fascism still disregarded the rights of the individual in favor of the rights of the collective, often preached atheism, embraced government take over of key industries, and advocated the power of massive, overweening, oppressive and evil government to supposedly solve human problems. Revealingly, the word Nazi itself is an acronym for the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, which is the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. The word Nazi thus explicitly includes the word socialist. Because leftists are so woefully undereducated in the US, let me say that again, the quintessential Fascist movement in history explicitly referred to itself as a socialist party. Nazism was Socialism with a strong German nationalist flavor: the spice was nationalistic, but the meat itself was socialist. The lack of factual insight is partly what makes modern leftists sound so stupid when they attempt to address serious subject matter. They do not read enough, they ignore facts, science, history and math, and they simply know very little about anything, from history, to slavery, to racial issues, to mNRA vaccines and to free market economics. They are perhaps the dumbest collection of elites since the industrial revolution. Most of them cannot even guess at the facts underlying issues where the leftists are perfectly willing to offer fanatical, and wholly uninformed opinions.

So, Fascism is and has always been an extension of socialism. The warnings signs of Fascism include bigger and bigger government that progressively blots out freedom by trying to control more and more aspects of human life, including wages, aggressive taxation, access to healthcare, pensions and retirements, redistribution of wealth, interference with freedom of speech, and rights of self-defense, and so on. Anyone able to perceive even a speck of truth can quickly ascertain which modern politicians want the government to expand much more, control more, tax more, regulate more, interfere with free speech, redistribute wealth more aggressively, force everyone to be educated in corrupt government schools, and disarm the public. Who wants to disarm the public these days – ultra-Maga Republicans? Of course  not, it’s the Far Left. Who wants to interfere with freedom of speech so alternative views  are not disseminated – ultra-Maga Republicans? Of course not, it’s the Far Left. Who wants to run the entire economy through the federal government wasting 40% of the money in the process to pay for more and more overpaid government employees — ultra-Maga Republicans? Of course not, it’s the Far Left. Who wants to impose vaccine and mask mandates that do not work very well and that government lacks the authority to impose — ultra-Maga Republicans? Of course not, it’s the Far Left. Who wants to force you to purchase an electric vehicle you do not like or want, and which produces far more dirt and pollution than traditional vehicles, including mass strip mining operations and millions of tons of discarded, toxic, and dangerous lithium batteries — ultra-Maga Republicans? Of course not, it’s the Far Left.

It could not be clearer that it is the Far Left who are courting Fascism. The Far Left is the political movement that wants ever expanding and ultimately all powerful government. If you are an even marginally informed student of US politics, you will know that the American right, including the overwhelming majority of ultra-Maga Republicans believe in smaller, more efficient government, less wasteful government spending, and less targeting of US citizens by their own government, which is disgraceful. Thomas Jefferson once said, “That government is best, that governs least.” Ronald Reagan, one founder of the modern conservative movement, quipped, that the most terrifying words in the English language are – “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Reagan also declared, “Government is not the solution to the problem: government is the problem.” Even democratic President Bill Clinton hopefully declared, “The era of big government is over.” Sadly, the era appears to be back, if it ever left us. Clinton also worked with a Republican congress to replace many welfare programs with work programs. Clinton did not believe that able bodied citizens should receive welfare for not working. All those who can work, should work. America is intended to be a nation of self-reliance, not a nation of welfare recipients.

American conservatists usually have a healthy dose of libertarianism in their thinking. They believe that the federal government should remain small and become involved only in a small number of well-defined tasks set forth in the Constitution. American conservatists are small government conservatists who believe in the US Constitution – a document, unique in history conceived and drafted specifically to limit government, not to expand it. Conservatists believe in the doctrine of “specific enumerated powers” – namely that the federal government should only perform those tasks specifically authorized by the text of the US Constitution, such as the right of Congress to coin money or regulate trade amongst the states or Indian tribes. Maga conservatists also believe that government must follow restrictions in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, such as election laws should be left to the legislatures of the respective states, and the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Recent conservative activism has included things like the tea party movement, which opposed high federal taxation under the mantra, “taxed enough already.” Conservative opposition to a government takeover of medicine in the form of the stupidly conceived Obama care plan, is another recent conservative notion. Opposition to completely diluting the votes of US taxpayers through insane open border policies is also conservative, as well as commonsensical, if you read Milton Friedman or anyone else who can do basic math.

Finally, harkening back to the US Constitution – a document intended to limit and restrain the growth of government – who is trying to destroy that world-changing experiment in liberty today? Who wants the federal government, instead of state legislatures, to draft and control US election law, in violation of the Constitution? The answer is Liberal Democrats. Who wants to pack the Supreme Court with liberal justices, even though the country has agreed to 9 justices on the Supreme Court since just after the Civil War? Again, the “Looney Left.” Who wants to abolish the electoral college, a clever tool for limiting the destruction of the Constitution by an angry or irrational majority? Again, the Far Left. Who wants to abolish the filibuster to simply seize more power? The Far Left. Who wants to impose wealth taxes and other unconstitutional taxes far beyond the simple income tax authorized by the 16th Amendment? Only the Far Left and someone as looney as Elizabeth Warren would advocate for sending armed IRS agents across the fruited plain to see how many oil paintings or rare cars each citizen possesses. Does that sound like America? No conservative would ever be in favor of that measure. And no conservative wants the IRS to swell in numbers until it dwarfs the number of border guards, the number of active FBI agents, or even the number of active combat marines. It is the Far Left that threatens us with Fascism, not libertarian or conservative constitutionalists. Can President Biden really be too historically ignorant to know this?

The final question I would ask, is why Biden is spending all his time savagely attacking Republicans and conservatists, instead of governing? Biden controls the Presidency and both houses of Congress. Although he wrote none of them, he has already signed 99 executive orders. He has had ample opportunity to meet with Republicans and seek middle ground on all kinds of policies, such as securing the Southern border which he deliberately transformed into an open border nightmare that kills more than 100,000 Americans each year. Unfortunately, Biden has been governing, and we see the dismal results.

When Trump’s presidency ended, inflation was 1.6%. Although Biden lies about it, inflation is currently around 8.3%, depending on how you calculate it. Food inflation is much higher: food prices have gone up about 13.5% since last year – more on some items. Contrary to Biden’s lies, this inflation was not mainly caused by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine: 7.9% of the inflation occurred before the invasion. Blaming Putin is just another deflection from bad Biden policies. Biden has no idea what causes inflation and could never explain it to anyone, which is why his staff constantly gags him.

When Trump left office the average gas price was about $2.38 a gallon. At the height of Biden’s wonderful achievements, gas prices approached $5.00 per gallon. Diesel was even higher. Current gas prices average about $4.8 per gallon – approximately double what they were when Trump left office. Ridiculously, Biden took several victory laps over the tiny reduction in gas prices. The reduction was both temporary and based on the fact that Biden’s policies have forced the US economy into recession – not a future risk of recession, as Marxist imbeciles like Janet Yellen quibble, but an actual recession according to the most common definition of a recession – 2 quarters of negative growth, which already happened this year. Because Biden caused a recession, economic activity in the US declined causing people to drive less. Consequently the price of gas temporarily dipped a bit causing Biden to sing his own praises to the heavens. Congratulations Biden – you get full credit for the recession. Gas prices are already going back up, and Biden is currently wasting the strategic petroleum reserve, which his ultra-Maga predecessor Trump filled when gas prices were historically low. Biden is a buy high, sell low” kind of President. Traitorously some of the strategic reserve was sold to China, so there will be almost no reserves left if China starts a war over Taiwan.

The whole world recently witnessed the ridiculousness of Biden’s dope-filled green dreams, when California announced almost simultaneously that it would ban non EV vehicles in the foreseeable future while also warning people not to charge their EVs, because of the unstable and erratic electric grid in California, which is still overwhelmingly powered by hydrocarbons, although California does not have enough hydrocarbon sources to reliably power its own electrical grid. Millions of EVs are simply sitting in people’s driveways, waiting for toxic waste heaps when their Chinese made batteries fail. Meanwhile, virtually every corrupt liberal in Congress is worth tens of millions of dollars, although they make approximately $174,000 a year. How are all of these Congressmen becoming so rich? You can watch this corruption “live” as Biden distributes his sham Green New Deal to friends and supporters with no measurable effect on climate change. The money will simply be wasted as assuredly as if burned in the backyard. It will all be gone, and the only noticeable effect will be a massive increase in the wealth of corrupt politicians and government workers. No wonder Biden spends all his time attacking imaginary enemies, such as parents, and the 74 million who voted for Trump. Biden certainly cannot run on his record which is one of the most disastrous and painful political records in US history. Keep attacking conservative Americans, Biden. You have nothing else to run on.
